The Prompt
The loophole
Initially it is a confusing prompt, recipes for a designer? What kind of recipes? The open-ended-ness allowed me to turn it into an app for 'Recipes' to create projects geared for all kinds of designers.
The User Story
As a designer,
I want to create an account
so that I can access Recipes for projects in my specific industry.
To visualize the purpose of the app within the Log in / Sign up flow, I opted to create an account creation/onboarding flow that focused on customizing the content seen post-account creation.
First the basics, an introduction to the app and basic account details
Then the user can begin customizing it. The role and industry would allow the app to recommend people and help in networking, while the Recipe and Skill examples allows it to recommend specific 'Recipes'.
In the final step, the designer can connect their various accounts to this one.
Google for basic contacts and permissions; LinkedIn for the network that already exists and to grow it through the app; and Adobe for the various software and portfolio linkages.
